Was invited out for some offshore Marlin and deep drop fishing.  We had a fantastic ride out at just shy of 40 knots. Got setup early, second or third boat on the scene.  Immediately had a knockdown and then Ed from Badwater Designs came tight on a decent White.  Released him and not 20 minutes later came tight on another larger white.

Ended up working the area and raising a total of five, leadered 3.  I hooked and fought one for a bit, he was a jumper and put on a pretty good show for everyone.  Unf. I saw him leap, head shake and the lure went flying out of his mouth.

At 1PM we had enough, and made a small move to try for some tile.  Second drift I came tight on what proved to be a very nice Golden going about #35, taken on J/M 350g rod, Accurate 665 reel, #80 Daiwa line, CM420 Jig
