Twin power has a history of 30 years since its birth. This work is equipped with a metal rotor that suppresses deflection, distortion, and twisting by consolidating the principles of simple and sturdy that have been pursued for many years. By combining with the HAGANE body, it has gained excessive rigidity and durability. Furthermore, the metal rotor with excellent rigidity creates a stable winding feeling reminiscent of Stella, and also enables permanent smooth rolling. Not only that, cast performance is also improved by adopting a new long stroke spool. We have evolved into a tough machine that can be used with confidence in every scene, and start a new history.

High rigidity and high durability
Metal rotor
The metal rotor with high rigidity and moderate inertia provides a moist and smooth rotating feeling. Furthermore, it suppresses deflection and distortion and contributes to improved hooking and dragging performance.
HAGANE body
Highly rigid body that can withstand unexpected shocks.
For spinning reels that require a high load when wound up, higher rigidity is required for the entire body including the reel foot. The HAGANE body suppresses anxiety about shock in severe environments and power loss due to bending and twisting with a lightweight metal body. With overwhelming strength, it continues to support the battle of anglers.
HAGANE gear

HAGANE gear that has been installed on many Shimano spinning reels. The NEW Twin Power is equipped with a newly designed HAGANE gear. As a result, one size higher reel gear strength is achieved.
X-Protect
Both smoothness and waterproofness cannot be compromised.
By combining the water-repellent effect and the labyrinth structure, it realizes waterproof performance that withstands water pressure without impairing the lightness of rotation. The mounting points are the line roller part and the body (roller clutch) part. In particular, the durability of the line roller is more than 5 times higher (compared to our conventional product).

Micro module gear Ⅱ which has evolved with the most advanced tooth surface design and manufacturing technology unique to Shimano. We reviewed the design from the gear teeth and each tooth surface to pursue the ideal tooth shape. It also reduces noise and improves the smooth gear feel.
Silent drive
A quiet and united feeling that is thoroughly detailed.
We reviewed the basic design of the entire body and the drive-related parts one by one, and thoroughly eliminated minute rattling, gaps, and vibrations between parts. The areas to be improved include drive gears, worm shafts, worm shaft pins, worm shaft gears, and more. Achieves a new level of smooth rotation performance and quietness with quietness.
Fly
Long stroke spool
Long stroke spool is also installed on NEW Twin Power. Achieves a distance increase of approximately 5% compared to conventional models with the C3000 size.
NEW Twin Power may deliver to that point where the lure does not always reach (according to our flight distance test in the dome) .
AR-C spool
A spool that has been made lighter with Shimano's original processing technology to achieve both the two objectives of "without trouble" and "extending the flight distance". Due to the "line rectifying effect" due to the special shape of the spool ring, the line emission is adjusted to the best condition.
Other
Use of washers
No. 1000 to No. 4000 are made of smooth sliding felt, and No. C5000 is made of durable cross carbon washer.
Newly designed bale opening / closing mechanism
Pursue a smooth feel when opened. Wide open / close angle and improved feathering. It also prevents unexpected bale return.
